《絕地求生》將允許玩家製作模組 官方將在十年內保持更新

熟悉《絕地求生》(PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS)開發者PlayerUnknown的玩家們可能會知道,這位設計師之前曾經為武裝行動3設計過MOD,其中不少成功的經驗也在後續作品中得到了沿用。現在他也希望玩家們為《絕地求生》製作mod,從而尋找下一位「PlayerUnknown」。

近日在接受外媒CNET採訪時,PlayerUnknown表示,目前《絕地求生》團隊正在思考該怎麼在杜絕盜版的情況下讓玩家們能夠對遊戲做出調整:「我們必須謹慎行事,因為首先我們得保護好自家的伺服器文件。允許玩家執行自己的定製伺服器就意味著我們得先公布伺服器文件,這就可能會導致盜版問題的出現。我們的確有些想法,不過要實現它可能還要花上一段時間,因為我們真的必須找到最好的行動方式,所以目前我們才能保持遊戲安全。」

We want to [let people mod PUBG], but we have to do it carefully because because we’re very protective of our server files. Allowing people to run their own dedicated servers would mean releasing the server files and that could lead to piracy. It’s something we want to do, but it might take us a bit of time to actually implement it, because we really have to figure out the best way to do it so the game still stays secure.

PlayerUnknow的目標是允許其他玩家對遊戲進行拆分,方式就和PlayerUnknown當年研究《武裝行動3》時一樣:我想尋找一些能夠自創遊戲模式或是MOD的玩家,他們的作品能讓他們揚名網路,也可能會讓他們去創作自己的遊戲,我也想找到下一個PlayerUnknown。」

I’ve said this before: I want to find the next PlayerUnknown. I want to try to find someone who creates a game mode or a mod for my game that propels them to fame, and gets them to make their own game too.

除了MOD之外,他還談及了《絕地求生》的未來,PlayerUnknown表示這款遊戲實際上是「一項服務,而不是個遊戲」,他表示這款遊戲會在接下來的10年中不斷更新完善

「在接下來的數年裡,我們會不斷升級並為遊戲增添東西,這一點可以參照《CS:GO》的發展歷程。」,他補充說:我們沒有把《絕地求生》視作一個短期遊戲,我們將其視作未來十年想要不斷完善的工程。」

Over the coming years, we’re just going to keep upgrading and keep improving and keep adding to the game, much like what Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has done. We’re not looking at this as a short term game, we’re looking at this as something we want to do for the next 10 years.

除此之外也有一些壞消息,《絕地求生》的兩張新地圖似乎並不會很快就全都上線,不過PlayerUnknown表示他很快就會通過部落格公布一些消息:「我不確定兩張新地圖都準備好了,其中一張也許…我們會在部落格中更新新地圖的現狀。」

「幾周前我們公布了若干圖片,他們是地圖美麗的一角,設計師們花了很多時間才製作出一小塊補丁,能讓你稍微感受一下整體地圖的樣貌,不過這些圖片似乎給玩家們留下了錯誤的印象實際上兩張地圖距離完成還有挺遠的距離。我會在我的開發者博文中公開一部分內容,這樣也行能稍微抑制一下玩家們的期望值。」

I’m not sure about the two new maps being ready, one of them may be… we’re going to do a blog post about the current state of the new maps. The images we released a few weeks ago, they were what we call a beautiful corner, where the artist spends a lot of time creating a small patch to give a sense of what the overall map looks like, and it gives a false impression that these maps are really far along. I’ll be going into that a bit in my dev blog so we can temper people’s expectations.
